A luxury tilling retailer was looking to increase footfall at their showroom. Given that they sit at the top-end of the market, they needed to attract high income, high value customers. The client had tried Google ads previously but had seen little return.

The Solution

There was clearly a good local search volume in the radius of the showroom, for keywords associated with high-end bathroom and kitchen tiles, which warranted a Google Search Campaign. The previous campaign had been too generic, targeting the same keywords as mainstream players like Topps Tiles, which was effectively wasted ad spend. We restructured the whole account, targeting more long-tail, specifc keywords and focusing on income and geographic targeting.

Addionally, we rolled out a display campaign as a cheaper way of building brand awareness and to remarket to people who had demonstrated interest in the products by, for example, visiting the website a number of times. We optimised the campaign for store visits, and used GPS tracking to monitor user journey, allowing us to report on what percentage of people who clicked on the Google ad ended up in the showroom.
